Can I make changes to my Airbnb booking?
Yes you can, although any changes will need to be approved by your host before they are confirmed. Just head to ‘my trips’ and select the stay you want to make amendments to. Select ‘change reservation’ to alter the dates or guests, then select ‘submit alteration’. You’l be refunded or charged extra as needed.
How do I leave a review on Airbnb?
After your stay, you’ll be sent an email or notification prompting you to review the details of your trip, including the communication with the host and the quality of the space.
What do I need to make an Airbnb account?
Making an account is easy - you just need the app and a phone number. You’ll be asked to provide some ID, like a passport or driver’s license, and you may be asked for an additional new photo of yourself to verify your identity.
Need help with your reservation? Head to the app and select ‘get help’ from your profile. You’ll have the option to chat to a member of the team.
Once your booking has been confirmed, you’ll be sent an email with the details and address of your booking. You can also access all of this information straight from the app.
Looking for a refund? If your host cancels your stay, you’ll automatically be refunded for your stay. If you’re the one that needs to cancel, whether you’re entitled to a refund will depend on the cancellation policy your host has opted for:
- The flexible policy allows for a refund (this includes the cleaning fee or the accommodation fees) if you cancel at least 24 hours before check-in
- The moderate policy allows for a refund if you cancel at least five full days before check-in
- The strict policy requires you to cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days prior to check-in.
You’ll be refunded the service fee if you cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in.
