What are the exclusions for Woolworths Pet Insurance?
There are some exclusions to Woolworths Pet Insurance plans. This will vary according to plan but could include pregnancy, elective procedures, pet food and pre-existing conditions. How soon can I use my Woolworths Pet Insurance policy?
You can use your policy from 23h59 on the date your application is accepted. However, please be aware there is a 30-day waiting period for illness claims with Standard or Comprehensive cover. Additionally, there is a six month waiting period for cruciate ligament injuries and conditions, no matter which level of cover you purchase.
How old does my pet need to be to qualify for Woolworths Pet Insurance?
Your cat or dog must be between eight weeks and nine years of age to qualify for Standard or Comprehensive Cover. There is no upper limit for Basic Cover. However, once you have purchased your plan, your pet will be covered for life if you renew your insurance policy with no gap or change in the level of cover. (Renewals are subject to the returns and conditions of the renewal policy).
