How to Save Money on Tournament Essentials in Australia
From the opening match to the final whistle, there's a lot to spend on — but with the right discounts, you can keep costs well under control. Here's where to find the best savings across the key categories.
Discounts on TVs and Home Entertainment
A new TV is the most popular pre-tournament purchase, and it's also where you can save the most in dollar terms. Retailers like Harvey Norman and The Good Guys regularly run promotions in the lead-up to major tournaments, with discounts of 10–20% on large-screen 4K models that handle fast-moving sport particularly well. If you're considering a soundbar or projector to complete your setup, these are often bundled into promotional deals too. The key timing tip: shop 3–4 weeks before the tournament starts, as stock on popular models can thin out quickly and prices tend to firm up closer to kick-off.
Streaming Subscription Deals
Before you commit to a streaming service, it's worth checking what's available on vouchercloud — providers like Kayo Sports and Paramount+ regularly offer discounted first months or extended free trials, particularly around major sporting events. Rights to specific tournaments change, so always confirm which platform is broadcasting the games you want to watch before subscribing. A short-term subscription taken out at a promotional rate is often the most cost-effective way to catch every match.
Team Jerseys and Fan Merchandise
Demand for Australia jerseys rises sharply once a tournament is confirmed, and popular sizes do sell out. Retailers like JD Sports, Nike, and Adidas are reliable places to find fan merchandise, and discount codes can bring prices down meaningfully — typically 10–15% off. If you're buying for the family, it's worth checking children's sizing availability early, as these tend to go first.
Food Delivery and Game Night Offers
Late-night and early-morning kick-offs are a reality for Australian viewers, and ordering in is one of the easiest ways to make those sessions more enjoyable. Uber Eats and Menulog regularly offer percentage-off codes or free delivery promotions, particularly for first-time users or during high-traffic sporting periods. Dan Murphy's and BWS are also worth checking for drinks deals ahead of a big match.
The Early Morning Kick-Off Kit
One angle that's very specific to Australian tournament viewing is the 3am or 5am start. If you're setting the alarm for a late-night match, a few practical purchases make a real difference — and there are deals to be found on all of them. Look for discount codes on coffee machines and pods from De'Longhi or Nespresso, comfortable loungewear from brands like Oodie or Bonds, and breakfast delivery options for after the final whistle. It's a small investment that makes those unsociable hours a lot more bearable.
Keep an eye on this page throughout the tournament window — we update our verified codes regularly so you're always working with current offers.
